I'm Sorry That I Ever Said I Love You..

"(Tell Me) You're Foolish." - '09 Single

(Tell Me) You're Foolish. Another personal song, I've been writing alot of those lately. I'm actually kind of proud of myself in a sense, I used to have a lot of problems writing lyrics based on actual experiences in my life. Most of the lyrics I'd write would consist of just random scenarios, carelessly cut and pasted into an extremely rough story line that I'd attempt to pull off as a song. However, lately I've been able to describe individual experiences with extreme detail, all the while staying within the context of song form. (Tell Me) You're Foolish is a prime example of this.

This song was written for a very beautiful girl named Janell. It's a song I wrote to try and drag her away from the stress and disappointments of everyday life. A song that I hoped would be able to give her peace of mind about lifes uncertainty and just to take everything one step at a time. This song was written primarily based off of one day in particular which I was lucky enough to have been given the opportunity to spend even a few short hours with such a gorgeous woman, both physically and personality wise.

The Original plan for TMYF was to include it in the future EP release, however as of now plans have been pushed back slightly, so as far as release dates goes, I honestly cannot give out an exact date. So for now, all I have to offer is a rough demo of the song. Updates will be coming soon regarding the actual release of the new EP, it all depends on when I can get back into the studio to finish recording, which, Lord willing, will be sooner rather than later haha.

Anyway, this song means the world to me, and I'll always hold it close to my heart, and I pray to God that she does the same. If you want the lyrics, dont hesitate to message me, or shoot me an email. Hope you enjoy this song as much as I enjoyed writing it.

"Dubba U Tee Eff" - '09 Single

"Dubba U Tee Eff" is the first demo off of the upcoming 09 Demos release. Which, essentially is a comprised of a bunch of my rough draft recordings.

Dubba U Tee Eff, in particular is a song that means alot to me, and was written about a very beautiful girl. It displays a bit of angst regarding the constant pursuit as well as its following rejection.

It's a touching song that has got alot of potential whenever I get into the studio to record it. This song is one of my most sincere as far as the brutality of my honesty goes, I dont think I've ever been as open as I am in Dubba U Tee Eff. So, Give it a listen, and let me know what you think.

As for the rest of the 2009 Demos album, it should be released around late november, which gives me enough time to place all of the years demo tracks on it, and maybe even include a couple of the rough drafts that nobody's heard before.

The CD as far as track listings goes, should be comprised of several demos of the favorites such as; Letters From Long Island, Holly, Breathe Pt. II, The Stigmatist & The Sceptic, Stay ect. As well as a few of the newer tracks, such as rough demos of; (Tell Me) You're Foolish, Dubba U Tee Eff, 8609, Hold Your Tongue, and possibly even a couple of new cover songs that I've been working on.

However, like I said, I'm not 100% certain as to when I'll get around to releasing this, but hopefully it gets out around late November sometime. Thanks for checking it out, Hope you enjoy the first unreleased demo, Dubba U Tee Eff!

"Two Brand New Covers" - 09 EP

In love of Brand New's new (and quite possibly their last) album Daisy, I decided to create an EP of nothing but brand new cover songs. These are the first two cuts from that EP, more to be posted soon. Have a listen, and if you live in the dark ages and are currently unaware of Brand New, give them a listen, and buy every single one of their albums, BN is a band that I've grown up with, and each album matured in line with myself.

Their CD's got me through so many ups and downs in this life, and Jesse Lacey will always be a hero of mine, as both a Lyricist and a human being. This is one of those few bands that I can quite literally listen to at anytime of the day, and in any mood whatsoever and still never grow old of them. So be sure to give them a listen.

Below is a link to their myspace page, I seriously suggest you give it a listen, pretty sure you wont be disappointed. The two covers in this download, are two of my all time favorite brand new songs, The Quiet Things that No One Ever Knows, is the song that got me hooked on Brand New for the first time, and Seventy Times 7 was the anthem to my life after a pretty nasty break up in 2007. I'm hoping to have the whole EP released soon, but for now enjoy these two classics.

"8609" - 2009 Single

'8609' is the new single that I released exlusively on my twitter page. It was written for someone that just really captivated me from the moment I laid eyes on her. August 6th of 2009 will always be a day to remember my friends.

This song was really one of the first songs that I was truly able to incorporate actual events from our meetings into the lyrics themselves. Usually I find myself hung up on trying to word things properly, but this one just seemed to flow very nicely.

This song is an easy song to listen to, it's gentle and relaxing and the lyrics are sweet and heartfelt, as I try to convey my absolute shyness when it comes to talking to a beautiful girl haha. Anyway, I hope you enjoy 8609, and hopefully it will find its way onto an upcoming release.

Little update, I'm heading into the studio at the end of the month to record a new 6-song EP that should be out by October. Keep your fingers crossed, and enjoy the single yeah?

IGHBSGMC [Deluxe Edition]

For everyone that enjoyed the original "I Gave Her Butterflies, She Gave Me Crabs" you'll love this one even more! Not only did I go back and adjust the mastering of each of the tracks, but I added on three more songs.

I'm currently talking to several different producers to see if I can score some studio time to record five of these songs professionally for an EP that I can sell during my upcoming tour of the eastern states!

That tour is going to consist of several different solo artists that are looking to have a good time on the road and broaden their fanspace. As far as artists go, we're looking at getting Mat Musto, Joe Krug, The Icarus Account and Myself on the ticket. This should be scheduled for sometime during the summer of 2010.

Letters From Long Island [2009 Single]

"Letters From Long Island" was originally recorded last year, and it has always been one of my absolute favorite songs. I wrote this song after a really tough breakup with the only girl I've ever truly loved, and every ounce of the lyrics is taken from a detailed account of what went down one night, and the feeling that overcomes you when you realize you've done something wrong.

This song was the first song that I wrote after I took a short hiatus from creating music. It couldnt have come at a better time either haha. Lyrics to this song and many others can be found on various lyric sites on the internet, so check them out if you get a chance!

This continues to be the one song that is drenched with raw emotion from beginning to end, and it still grips my heart to this day whenever I play it. So, I really hope you enjoy this song, and truly appreciate what I put into it.

Return To Sender [2009 Single]

Well It's here! The first single from the upcoming album! I'm bound to make a couple of changes to the finished song in the full lenth LP but this is the Single Version so I can get away with a couple of minor glitches.

This song was written about someone who was extremely close to me at one point in my life, and the process of trying to come to grips with the fact that things do change, and that unfortunately sometimes, theres absolutely nothing that can be done to stop it.

I
've written a song about this girl on every album I've ever released (whether you've noticed or not haha, sometimes the entire album is revolving around one person, hint hint!) Anyway, I've been struggling with a lot of shit lately, and lyrically speaking, this is probably one of my favorite songs, for the main reason it allowed me to get my feelings out without being blatantly obvious about who it was written for.

I've gone through so many changes lately, it's mentally depleting, but this is the first single from the new Scott (haha). Hope you guys really enjoy it, and seriously feel free to send me a message on myspace (url on the right hand side of the page) or hit me up with an email, I love meeting new people and having a good conversation. Enjoy!

The Stigmatist & The Sceptic EP

Released in May of 2009, "The Stigmatist & The Sceptic" EP has more or less, a mellow sound as apposed to some of the earlier poppy releases. Yet another 3 track EP, however I did throw an extra song on there, "Breathe Pt. II" as an added bonus (haha).
This is one of my favorite releases, even though it's kind of short, I just really like the way its put together. Like most of my EP's it's nothing more than a build-up to a new release, "Siren Songs For Wayward Sailors.." which Im hoping to get out by July. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it!

TRACK LIST

1. The Stigmatist & The Sceptic
2. Duma Gama
3. Untitled [Siren Song]

BONUS TRACK

4. Breathe Pt. II

ashotofdutchcourage EP [2009 Release]

"ashotofdutchcourage" was released back in February of 2009, and was released primarily for publicity reasons. Something to give the listeners to hear prior to the new release.

It's short and sweet, coming in at only 3 original tracks, and 1 Blink 182 cover of "I Miss You" This EP is really nothing to write home about, however, it does give you a better version of "Letters From Long Island" and a new single entitled "Paper Anchor" which, as few people know, is more or less a continuation on the previous song "You'll Be My Anchor..." which is about a struggle to find God through the midst of every day life.

Paper Anchor, is more or less falling short of such vision, and coming to grips with fact that such demons leave you abandoned from saving grace. Thus, leaving you stranded, metaphorically speaking, I used to emotion to paint the scene of crashing waves in "You'll Be My Anchor.." and it starts off at that very point with it's predacessor (sp?). Hope you enjoy!

TRACK LIST

1. Letters From Long Island [Acoustic]
2. "A" Is For Asphixiated
3. I Miss You (Blink 182 Cover)
4. Paper Anchor

I Believed You When You Said... [2008]

I originally released the "I Believed You When You Said.." EP in December of 2008. Although I did alter the track listing as well as added a couple of cover songs later down the line. This CD was actually a little more pop oriented with songs like "You've Got Moxie, Kid" & "Sin City Never Sleeps" but it does calm down a bit near the end with "You'll Be My Anchor" which is another one of my personal favorites.

I had a really tough time deciding whether or not to put "Brittany's Lullaby" up on this EP. I guess thats a constant struggle I come accross when I write music (haha) Especially in a case like this, where I write a song that I really enjoy, but later find out it was written about a girl who in the long run, turned out to be a whore (tough break).

Either way lol, I hope you enjoy it! I'm currently working on re-recording You've Got Moxie, Kid, but theres nothing more to really update as of now (haha).

TRACK LISTING

  1. Swingsets

  2. You've Got Moxie, Kid

  3. Sin City Never Sleeps

  4. Brittany's Lullaby

  5. "A" Is for Asphixiated

  6. You'll Be My Anchor...

    BONUS TRACKS

  7. Don't Trust Me [3oh!3 Cover]

  8. Where'd You Go [Fort Minor Cover]

  9. Sin City Never Sleeps [Acoustic]

Letters From Long Island: B-Sides & Rarities

"Letters From Long Island" in short, is no more than a bunch of old tracks dating anywhere from January 2008 - March 2009. I decided to name it Letters From Long Island for the only reason that, it has to be the favorite song that I've ever written. It really captured everything that I was trying to convey, and it has a really soft, dramatic sound to it. Thats probably the only song that I will still play live to this day from the list of past songs.

This CD is packed with 14 songs and a variety of sounds, both original and covers, which just so happens to include a live cover of Hidden in Plain Views "Twenty Below" recorded during a tour i was apart of during the summer of 2008. Fun Stuff! Hope you enjoy it.

Life, Love & Lack Thereof [2008 Release]

The Early 2008 Release of "Life, Love & Lack Thereof" was the second album that I ever really recorded (aside from a few random B-Sides that were released sparatically within a couple months prior) At the time, I was actually pretty proud of myself on this one, but looking back now (haha) I see plenty of things that I could've easily improved on.
Unfortunately, the quality leaves plenty to be desired, and the levels are nothing to write home about, but I hope those of you who take the time to download it, truly enjoy it.

Raise our glass and drink to new beginnings yeah?

TRACK LIST
1. Designer Jean Scene
2. Breathe
3. Acoustic Dreams
4. You're a Natural (Disaster)
