"ashotofdutchcourage" was released back in February of 2009, and was released primarily for publicity reasons. Something to give the listeners to hear prior to the new release.It's short and sweet, coming in at only 3 original tracks, and 1 Blink 182 cover of "I Miss You" This EP is really nothing to write home about, however, it does give you a better version of "Letters From Long Island" and a new single entitled "Paper Anchor" which, as few people know, is more or less a continuation on the previous song "You'll Be My Anchor..." which is about a struggle to find God through the midst of every day life.
Paper Anchor, is more or less falling short of such vision, and coming to grips with fact that such demons leave you abandoned from saving grace. Thus, leaving you stranded, metaphorically speaking, I used to emotion to paint the scene of crashing waves in "You'll Be My Anchor.." and it starts off at that very point with it's predacessor (sp?).
